BELRIM Stamcafé – Miris – How Companies Cover their Cyber Risks

Faced with market shortcomings, twelve large European companies – Solvay and BASF, the aeronautics giant Airbus, the tire manufacturer Michelin, the environmental services group Veolia – have decided to take cybersecurity insurance coverage matters in hand and to collaborate. They have created their own insurance company
– Miris – to cover their cyber risks. “Miris” is based in Belgium and on December 2022 obtained its license from the National Bank. It begins its activity on January 1st 2023 under mutual insurance status.
BELRIM wishes to inform its members and has invited Sonia Cambier, Head of Corporate Insurance and Prevention, to share her knowledge and views on this matter.
