Environmental awareness has been growing steadily in recent years. With more stringent regulations, public debate, and large-scale pollutions, businesses must face up to the emergence of a new and potentially costly risk. This risk is not only reflected on the balance sheet, but reputational damage and potential individual prosecution also need to be taken into account. In this session, we will explore real‑world examples of large and complex environmental claims and discuss how such exposures may be addressed through an Environmental Damage and Pollution Legal Liability (EDPLL) policy.
Alexander De Munter is a Senior Underwriter EIL at Zurich Insurance, with over five years of experience in environmental underwriting. Specialized in structuring and underwriting environmental insurance programs, Alexander supports clients in managing evolving environmental liability risks.
