Dear Member,

Dear Colleague,

Dear Friend,

2021 was another challenging year.

Wave after wave of Covid hit us. New variants keep popping up.

Terrible floods occurred with heavy losses on all sides.

The hard insurance market complicated renewals and to top it all, a worldwide cyber attack is in the make.

Enough to keep a risk manager busy!

And many reasons for our association to be at your side.

During these past months we have realised how important it is to create a platform for you.

That is why we have decided to give our activities a make-over.

From now on there will be a monthly online BELRIM “Stamcafé”.

The goal is to give you the opportunity to share knowledge, know-how and experience on hot topics in small groups.

If more than 12 people want to take part, the event will be duplicated.

Feel free to send us your ideas! Call in and be an active member of our community!

Together with our sponsors we will continue to organize half-day exchanges on subjects such as:

–              The Ever Given and Just in Time Supply Chain

–              Risk Management in Africa

–              Crisis Management : a workshop

In 2022 we also hope to see you at our Belgian Evening in Copenhagen at the start of the Ferma Forum.

The BELRIM Prize is open for students in risk management. Please spread the word!

Why not take the Rimap certification as the perfect opportunity to mark your place in your field of work.

Make sure to keep an eye on our agenda for more information about all our events!

Most of all, we would like you to talk about our association, to be an ambassador of BELRIM, so that our community grows, our profession is recognized and risk management is taken up at board level in our companies.

On behalf of the BELRIM board and as your President, I wish you a healthy, happy and successful 2022!

Gaetan Lefevre
