Education

Risk Management Education is one of the main concerns of the Federation. The invitation of students is a mean to increase FERMA's visibility and also to improve the interest of the Education bodies throughout Europe. In addition, it gives the Association members the opportunity to demonstrate their involvement in that field. It offers the students the possibility to attend a major Risk Management congress in Europe, to improve their knowledge and allow them to discuss and exchange views, not only with practitioners, risk and insurance managers, but also with numerous service providers.

Invitation and selection

BELRIM PRIZE 2013

offers students of Belgian Universities, Hautes Ecoles etc… to participate

Every two years BELRIM grants a prize to a student having produced a remarkable paper, or thesis on the topic of Risk Management.

Selection criteria are :

1. The student should have succeeded his studies in any educational program in relation with Risk Management whether operational, financial, engineering, safety and security etc.. The student should have obtained his degree or certificate in 2012 or 2013 ; a good knowledge of English is essential.

2. Students having started a professional activity are allowed to participate ;

3. A letter of recommendation by the Dean of Faculty or by the Professor having promoted the work needs to be produced together with the request for participation.

4. Works submitted to the Jury to be written in French or Dutch or English.

Members of the Jury are : the President of BELRIM, the Coordinator of Education of BELRIM and two other Board Members of BELRIM.

Ultimate date for submission of papers is June 30, 2013.

The BELRIM PRIZE IS A FREE INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN THE FERMA FORUM IN Maastricht from September 29 to Oct 2, 2013 

FERMA is the European Federation of Risk Management Associations of which BELRIM is the Belgian member. Similar prizes are organized in all European countries through the local risks management associations.

FERMA and BELRIM cover all expenses ( registration fee to the Forum 2013 hotel and travel expenses) during the whole period. 

This is an excellent opportunity for young professionals at the start of their career to improve their knowledge of Risk Management and to meet with more than 1300 participants to the Forum 2013 such as European Risk managers, insurers, reinsurers, international consultants, etc.
